“When did we get so old?!?!” This was my initial thought when plans for organizing this reunion first came up. As impossible as it may seem, 10 years has passed since Titanic was #1 at the box office, Taco Bell introduced us to the talking Chihuahua, we were relishing that we were one of the last graduating classes to have open campus for lunch, and we sat in a sea of purple robes, waiting for the moment when we were officially free from the confines of high school. Some of us haven’t seen the inside of a classroom since, and some have seen too many. Regardless of where life has taken you in these ten long/short years, we hope that you’ll take the time to reconnect and reminisce with old friends about the good ol’ days and mingle with people that you may not have known so well.

We may have grown up now but hopefully we haven’t grown out of tradition. On Saturday, July 14th 2007, we will be celebrating our 10-year high school reunion! For almost a year, members of our former class have worked hard, in conjunction with Blast from the Past Reunions, to put together a memorable event that will have something for everyone. Please make time to come and share old memories and make new ones at a family picnic and the reunion dinner/dance.

We look forward to seeing you, and we only get together like this once every 10 years. The halls of Manzano have never been the same since we left (definitely don’t look the same), so let’s all reunite and give the school what it needs…a little reminder of just how awesome the Class of ’97 was.
