Fellow Monarchs,
It was a time when we were building lifelong friendships. We were battling our way out of Wilson Stadium parking lot, hoping not to add to the fifty dents we put on our cars the week before. Half of us were blasting Boys II Men on the radios, and the other half were still listening to Led Zeppelin and didn’t realize it was the 90’s. A time when Nirvana and Pearl Jam were changing the face of music, and we were changing our flannels. We were screaming “S.E.N.I.O.R.S.” during all the assemblies and making sure the youngens knew who we were. We were running to class with only seconds to spare because the two-minute bell meant we had plenty of time. A time of new experiences; a first date, a first dance, a first love, the first time we dressed as cheerleaders with wigs and performed in front of the entire student body (Gosh, I wish I could forget doing that). But they were crazy days. We may have grown up now but I hope we haven’t grown out of tradition. I think those halls have never been the same since we left, so I say let’s all reunite and give the school what it needs…a little Class of ‘94 juice. It’s time for our first reunion and find out why everyone’s been too busy to call. It is time to extinguish past regrets (maybe make a couple of new ones) and to re-establish old ties. It’s time to relive old memories and time to create some new. Your MHS Reunion Team, in conjunction with Blast from the Past Reunions, has been working diligently to put together a once-in-a-decade celebration, and we invite you to attend the Manzano High School Class of 1994 Ten Year Reunion to be held on August 14, 2004. We look forward to seeing you, and we only get together like this once every 10 years. Let’s make it another fond memory we can share together. Until Then, Your 1994 MHS Reunion Team |
